Sleepout Saturday - Bridge Communities Fundraiser for Homelessness
We are partnering with Bridge Communities to host our very own Sleepout Saturday. Bridge Communities is a great local not-for-profit that works to transition families facing homelessness to self-sufficiency by working with partners to provide mentoring, housing, and supportive services. They bring awareness by doing Sleepout Saturday events to raise awareness about family homelessness and fund their Bridge Communities Transitional Housing Program.
We will be hosting our own Sleepout Saturday, where we will be packing homeless “essentials” bags to distribute, socializing and enjoying pizza and ice cream from local food trucks, staying active by participating in sports/field games, and ending the night playing group games over a bonfire. Families will then be asked to pitch their tent or sleep in their car to challenge themselves to experience what a night without the coziness and warmth of a home feels like.
This event is a $50 commitment per family or $20 per individual. The fee will be used to cover the cost of the space, and the remaining proceeds will go to raising money for the Bridge Communities Transitional Housing Program.
Individuals and families could bring food and snacks for the event or purchase food at the food trucks.
Fill out the form to secure your spot. Payment can be done by sending a Zelle payment to: samasanassgroup@gmail.com.
